BERNIECE MARGARET LITTLE (nee AVERY)

1918- 2007

Berniece passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at Hazelton Place Retirement Residence in her 90th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Marcus Harvey Little; mother of Marcus (Alanna, deceased), Natalie (Paul Raymond), and David (Lori McDonald); and also the loving grandmother of Marcus and Nicholas Raymond. She also leaves her dear sister-in-law Jean Avery; nieces Margaret, Lorna and Susan; nephew Edward; her great friend and cousin Dawn MacDonald; and many family and friends in Canada, the U.S. and Australia. Special thanks to the staff at St. Michael’s Hospital and to everyone at Hazelton Place.

Berniece was a proud nursing graduate of St. Michael’s Hospital. She loved her winters in Green Valley and her garden at Emohruo, her cottage in Peterborough, Ont.. Fiercely independent, she had only recently moved into Hazelton Place, where she had a wonderful last few months playing bridge, following the stock market and making new friends.
