MEMPHIS, Tenn.—Memphis is running away from its opponents, and doing it with different players.

Doneal Mack made seven 3-pointers and scored a career-high 23 points, leading No. 2 Memphis past Pepperdine 90-53 on Saturday for its school-record 40th straight home win.

For the second consecutive game, the Tigers were led by a reserve. Backup guard Jeff Robinson had 20 points and 10 rebounds Thursday in a 102-58 victory over Siena.

“It shows how deep we can go on our bench,” Mack said. “We’ve just got to stay consistent.”

Mack’s seven 3-pointers tied a team record held by six others. Five players scored in double figures for Memphis (13-0), which hasn’t dropped a home game since losing 69-58 to Texas on Jan. 2, 2006.

Chris Douglas-Roberts added 14 points, and Antonio Anderson and Willie Kemp finished with 12 each. Robert Dozier had 11.

All of Anderson’s points came in the first half. He played only six minutes after the break, giving Mack more time on the floor.

“When (Mack) started making shots, did you know everybody on the floor tried to get him the ball?” Memphis coach John Calipari said. “Did you see the bench? The last game they did it for Jeff Robinson. They want each other to play well. (Anderson) said: ‘Leave Doneal in. Don’t put me back in. Let him play.’”

No. 3 Kansas 85, Boston College 60: In Boston, No. 3 Kansas put everything together for a little more than 12 minutes on Saturday and that was plenty to pull away and beat Boston College.

Darnell Jackson scored 12 of his 25 points during a 33-8 run that turned a tie game into a blowout, adding nine rebounds in front of a surprisingly supportive road crowd to lead No. 3 Kansas to an 85-60 victory over Boston College.

“If we keep playing like that, and keep our energy up, there’s no way we can be stopped,” Jackson said.

Darrell Arthur added 22 points and seven rebounds for Kansas, which won its first 14 games for the sixth time in school history. The Jayhawks remained one of six unbeaten teams in the nation with one game left before next week’s Big 12 opener against Nebraska.

“If our big guys play like that, our guards are good enough to put them in position to get easy baskets,” coach Bill Self said. “I think the pieces are there for us to have a big year.”

No. 6 Michigan State 65, Minnesota 59: In East Lansing, Mich., Raymar Morgan scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lift Michigan State over Minnesota in the Big Ten opener for both teams.

Morgan, the league's third-leading scorer, was 11-for-17 from the field in his fifth game with at least 20 points. He has three double-doubles.

Freshman Kalin Lucas came off the bench to boost the Spartans (13-1) with 17 points, including 12 in the first half. Goran Suton grabbed nine rebounds and played excellent defense in a foul-filled second half.

No. 7 Georgetown 58, Rutgers 46: In piscataway, N.J., John Thompson III saw the stat sheet and wasn’t impressed. His seventh-ranked Georgetown Hoyas had just beaten Rutgers 58-46 on Saturday, improving the numbers in the two categories in which they lead the nation.

That didn’t draw much of a response from the man in charge.

“I don’t approach coaching by looking at stat sheets, and maybe that’s a negative thing,” Thompson said. “I know how I feel about us and what we should do and how we should do it every possession at the offensive end and every possession at the defensive end. It is something the guys have to expect from each other and we didn’t do that at either end of the floor today.”

Georgetown entered the game leading the country in points allowed (55.2) and field goal percentage defense (35.2) and those numbers both went down as Rutgers shot 31.1 percent (19-for-61).

No. 14 Texas 81, Saint Mary's 62: In Austin, Texas, D.J. Augustin scored 30 points and Texas, playing at full strength for the first time this season, rolled to an impressive win over Saint Mary's.

Freshman Gary Johnson, playing in his second game after missing the first 13 while doctors monitored his heart, scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Longhorns (13-2), who closed out their non-conference schedule before starting Big 12 play next weekend.

Omar Samhan scored 13 points to lead the Gaels (12-2), whose five-game winning streak ended.

No. 15 Vanderbilt 97, Massachusetts 88: In Nashville, Tenn., Shan Foster scored 32 points, A.J. Ogilvy added 25 and unbeaten Vanderbilt rallied for a 97-88 victory over Massachusetts on Saturday to extend the best start in school history.

The 15th-ranked Commodores (15-0) trailed by 14 points in the first half and nine in the second before charging back on the strength of their 3-point shooting. Vanderbilt was 13-of-23 from beyond the arc while the Minutemen were 6-of-20.

UMass (11-3) led 50-41 with 16:52 remaining before Vanderbilt rallied. Foster’s 3-pointer made it 66-64, and Keegan Bell followed with another to give the Commodores a 67-65 lead with 9:23 to go. They never trailed again.
