Hand-carved Santas
Hand-carved Santas have been annual Christmas gifts for the past 18 years for Green Valley resident Annie Coutcher. The wooden seasonal figurines are carved by her son, Thomas L. Brownfield, chief judge, Eighth Judicial Circuit (Fourth Appellate District) in Quincy, Ill. Brownfield, who lives in Havana, Ill. has some of his hand-carved Santas in the Smithsonian and in the Chicago Museum of Art.
