‘Winning concert’ at the Villages
Friends of Music at The Villages of Green Valley will be hosting a “winning concert” on Sunday, Jan. 13.
Aryo Wicakson, winner of the 2005 Green Valley Concert Association Piano Competition, will perform starting at 7 p.m. at the Villages recreation center, 400 W. San Ignatio, west off La Canada, Green Valley.
Wicakson will be playing the classical chamber music fans of the Friends’ concert series asked for: Mozart, and Scriabin 5th sonata. You’ll also enjoy the string quartet playing Mozart and Shostakovich by favorite performers: Marya Giesy, Alan Brundage, Marion Wolfe and Thomas Hanselmann.

Concerts at the Villages are free but a donation of $ 10 is always appreciated. Refreshments are on the house.
