Published: Tuesday, December 4, 2007 9:43 PM MST

American Legion Post #66 will host a Pearl Harbor remembrance service beginning at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 7, at the Legion Post, 1560 W. Duval Mine Road, Sahuarita.

Guest speakers will be state Sen. Tim Bee and U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Also making short presentations will be Pearl Harbor survivors, Ed Boyles and William Bridges, both of Tucson.

The attack on Pearl Harbor was a pre-emptive military strike on the U.S. Pacific Fleet base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, by Japan’s Imperial Japanese Navy, on the morning of Sunday, Dec. 7, 1941, that caused the United States enter World War II.
