In March of 1996, rancher Warner Glenn of Douglas photographed an adult male jaguar that his hunting dogs had treed in the Peloncillo Mountains. Six months later, Tucson hunter Jack Childs had a similar encounter and photographed and videotaped another adult male jaguar in the Baboquivari Mountains near Brown Canyon.
