The Center for Inquiry Community of Southern Arizona meets on Sunday, Aug. 19, at 1:30 p.m. at the Tucson Main Library, 101 N. The Sunday Forum of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Green Valley will feature Tony Bishop, an ex-conservative, on “What do we mean by the word Liberal?” This “ex-con” currently is involved in OLLI/UA/GV, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in Green Valley. The forum will be held at Canoa Hills Center, 3660 S. Camino del Sol. All are welcome.

Aug. 20

Green Valley Wood Carvers meet on Monday, Aug. 20, at 8:30 a.m. at Friends in Deed, 301 Camino Casa Verde. Any wood carvers interested in an active carving club, or anyone wishing to learn how to carve, is welcome. For information, call Vern Preator, 393-0053.
