Aug. 3 fundraiser invites artists to participate

Calling all artists, especially those who love to draw, paint, sculpt, photograph or make unique jewelry with a horse-related theme.

The Amado Territory Ranch is hosting a wine-tasting fundraiser with live music by Becky Reyes, great food, and a fine art sale.

Any area artist or craftsperson who wants to show and sell their artwork,including photography, pottery, paintings, jewelry, horse or non-horse-related are invited to come and participate.

The event, a fund-raiser for Equine Voices Rescue & Sanctuary in Amado, is Aug. 3, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The sanctuary rescues horses, gives them homes and tries to find new owners for them.

“Our goal with this event is to involve the community by promoting local galleries and artists, raise funds for the horses in our care, whole enjoying a relaxing evening at the Amado Territory Inn,” said Karen Pomroy, president/founder of Equine Voices.

Members of the public are invited to enjoy the wine-tasting and hors d’oeuvres, music and art.

The cost is a $25 tax-deductible donation at the door.
