Giffords wants input from GV

Published: Thursday, June 28, 2007 10:44 PM MST

Got a question for U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords?

Well, Saturday in Green Valley she’ll be on hand to personally field it.

It is the sixth “Congress on Your Corner” appearance by Giffords, where everyone’s invited to talk to the Democrat congresswoman and maybe get an immediate response to questions.

So far, these events have been outdoors usually at supermarket parking lots, but because temperatures are expected to be 100 or higher, it will be inside.

Place: Joyner-Green Valley Library, 601 N. La Canada. Time: 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Staff members will be on hand so she can hand off some of the requests immediately, said a spokesperson.

More than 100 people turned out at some of her previous “Congress on Your Corner” events, so expect there may be some ahead of you.

For more information, call Giffords’ Tucson office 881-3588.
