April 4
The Titans Cribbage Club will host games tonight, April 4, at 6:30 p.m. at Casa Community Center, near La Posada, 780 S. Park Centre. Anyone interested in playing cribbage is welcome. April 5
Green Valley Toastmasters #3582 meets Thursday, April 5, at 8 a.m. at M&I Bank Annex. Visitors welcome. Enjoy meeting toastmasters of your neighborhood and Sahuarita, too. The Peerless Pawn Pushers will play chess on Friday, April 6, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Villas East rec hall, 508-A South Paseo Cerro. Players of all skill levels are welcome and you do not have to belong to GVR. For information, call Fred Stine, 207-5656, or Bob Vint, 648-0157.

Friends in Deed Blood Pressure Clinic is every Friday and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Registered nurses are present to take blood pressures. There is no charge and no appointment is needed. Open to all. Friends is at 310 W. Camino Casa Verde.

April 7
Legislative District 30 precinct committee people and anyone else interested in attending will meet on Saturday, April 7, at 10 a.m. at the George Miller Golf Links Library, 9 640 Golf Links Road, Tucson. Those interested in carpooling from Green Valley should show up before 9 a.m. at the Safeway parking lot on Duval Mine Road near the gas station.

April 9
The Welcoming Diversity Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation will meet on Monday, April 9, at 1;30 p.m. at the UU Fellowship House, 17616 S. La Canada, Sahuarita. All are welcome to join in the search for information about wether the Sahuarita schools provide a safe environment for all young people, including gay and lesbian students, how other school systems handle the issue, and what rights, requirements and expectations exist for schools, young people and their families.

April 10
The Santa Cruz Border Coalition meets on Tuesday, April 10, at 2:30 p.m. at the Community Church at La 'Canada and Esperanza. Learn about the efforts of many humane service organizations to help migrants. Contact the Rev. Randy Mayer, 625-1375, for more information.

Widows and Widowers Club will meet on Tuesday, April 10, at noon for lunch at the Golden Corral, 1st and Wetmore, Tucson. Tom Nickel will entertain on the Technics Keyboard. League of Women Voters of Green Valley meets on Friday, April 13, at 11:30 a.m. at the Madera Room in La Vista at La Posada. James Bennett, editor of the Green Valley News and Sun, will outline his plans and vision for the newspaper. The Democratic Club of the Santa Rita Area will meet on Saturday, April 14, at 1 p.m. at Casa de Esperanza Community Center, 780 S. Park Centre, near La Posada. Dr. Price Fishback, award-winning professor of economics at the UofA, will speak on "The Current U.S. Economy: Lessons from the New Deal," drawn from his extensive work on that period. Panic Relief Inc., a registered non-profit educational corporation from Monmouth Junction, N.J. is planning an anxiety program in the Green Valley Area. Green Valley Christian Women's 'Connection will have a "guest day" luncheon on Wednesday, April 18. Men invited, too. It will be at 11:45 a.m. at the Elks Lodge, 2951 S. Camino Mercado.
