Published: Thursday, March 29, 2007 8:31 PM MST

National Border Patrol chief David Aguilar and U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords will hold a town meeting in Sahuarita Tuesday.

The event on immigration and border issues is set for 3 p.m. at the Good Shepherd United Church, 17750 South La Canada.

Aguilar headed Border Patrol operations for the Tucson Sector that included most of Arizona until he went to Washington, D.C, to become national chief in July 2004.

The Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector is the busiest sector in the country, with more than 140,000 illegal entrants captured in a year.

Democrat Giffords represents Arizona’s Eighth Congressional District.
