Traffic alert: More I-10 widening, more delays

More closures were announced this week as part of the two-and one-half-year-long Interstate 10 widening project.
The Arizona Department of Transportation issued a long list of closures that local motorists should be aware of when driving to and from Tucson in order to plan their routes.
Interstate 10 will not be closed, but several entrance ramps and lanes will be.
The westbound I-10 entrance ramp at Prince Road continues to be temporarily closed and will re-open Tuesday, March 13.
The left lane of eastbound I-10 between St. Mary’s Road and Congress Street also continues to be closed until Tuesday March 13.
The left lane of eastbound I-10 north of Prince Road will be closed beginning Thursday, March 8, for about two weeks.
Westbound I-10The left lane of westbound I-10 between Congress Street and St. Mary’s Road continues to be closed until Tuesday, March 13.
The left lane of westbound I-10 south of 29h Street will close on Monday, March 5, for approximately two weeks.
The left lane of westbound I-10 north of Prince Road is scheduled for closure on Thursday, March 8, for two weeks.
The right lane of westbound I-10 between Prince Road and Ruthrauff Road remains closed until Tuesday, March 13.
Eastbound Frontage Road>
Intermittent temporary right lane closures on the I-10 frontage road between Prince Road and 29th Street will start Monday, March 5, and last for about two weeks.
The left lane closure on the eastbound I-10 frontage road between Congress Street and Granada Avenue/Clark Street is scheduled to start Tuesday, March 6, and last for approximately 35 days.
The right lane of the eastbound I-10 frontage road is scheduled to be closed at the Canada del Oro bridge located between Ina Road and Orange Grove Road, starting Tuesday, March 6, through Thursday, March 8.
Westbound Frontage Road
Left lane closures will continue on the I-10 frontage road between Green Street and north of Granada Avenue/Clark Street until Friday, March 9.
A right lane closure on the I-10 westbound frontage road between Green Street and north of Granada will begin Monday, March 5, through Friday, March 9.
Right and left lane closures on the I-10 westbound frontage road at Grant Road start Friday, March 9, and last through Wednesday, March 14. One through lane will stay open.
The right lane of the westbound I-10 frontage road is scheduled to be closed at the Canada del Oro Bridge located between Ina Road and Orange Grove Road, starting Tuesday, March 6, through Thursday, March 8.
Granada to close
Granada Avenue/Clark Street under I-10 continues to be restricted to one lane open in the eastbound direction until Wednesday, March 14. Beginning Thursday, March 15, to Monday, April 9, Granada Avenue/Clark Street will be completely closed to vehicular traffic.
Access remains restricted on West Fort Lowell Road west of I-10 between the eastbound frontage road and La Cholla Boulevard for approximately three weeks.
The $200 million, 6.5-mile I-10 widening project is the largest in Southern Arizona history.
