Correction

Published: Thursday, March 1, 2007 7:30 PM MST

A Green Valley News article by reporter Jim Lamb misquoted a member of Green Valley Recreation board of directors at Monday’s meeting.

Director Lou Lovat, speaking in opposition to participating in an area needs assessment survey, questioned its value.

The newspaper quoted Lovat as saying the survey would “not be useful to GVR members.”

Lovat actually said “many non-GVR members would be included in the data since they live in the area to be polled, thereby making the survey inaccurate and not reliable as far as GVR is concerned.”

The News regrets the error.
