Martha Eugenia (Gregg) Myers, age 94

of Perrysburg, Ohio, and a former resident of Green Valley, Ariz and Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away peacefully in the Manor of Perrysburg, Tuesday, October 25, 2005. Born in Upper Sandusky, Ohio on July 3, 1911 to Alton Eugene and Martha (Norton) Gregg.

She attended Upper Sandusky Schools and graduated with the class of 1929. She then attended Ohio Wesleyan University and was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in June 1933, Martha began teaching English at Upper Sandusky High School until she married Wayne H. Myers on June 25, 1936, in John Stewart United Methodist Church. Martha and Wayne were married for 62 years until his passing in January of 1998. They moved to Green Valley in 1971 and she remained there until April, 2002.

While living in Upper, Martha was very active in numerous community organizations. She was member of the John Stewart United Methodist Church where she was past president. of W.S.C.S. She was member of Warpole Chapter O.E.S. #366, Alpha Chapter UsandoLiterary Club, past president of Wyandot Area, Marion area & Heritage Trails Girl Scout Councils.

She continued an active life in Arizona playing bridge, attending Sigma Kappa Alumnae Club meetings, helping Wayne with his sand paintings and cheering for beloved Arizona Wildcat basketball team.

Active as she was in various activities, she was first and foremost a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her family and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Surviving is her daughter Barbara K. Emerson (Edwin) of Perrysburg, Ohio. She was the beloved "Nana" to Steven Gregg McClain (Kim) of Toronto, Canada; Michael Edward McClain (Lee) of Pittsburg, Pa. Sara Emerson Niles of Westerville, Ohio, and Andrew Cooper Emerson (Erin) of Columbus. She was also "Great Nana" to Kevin Gregg McClain, Bethany Mae McClain, Grace Fei McClain, Martha Edison Niles, Ella Gibson Niles and Cooper Bryant Emerson. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband Wayne Harvey Myers; and her daughter Marcia Sue McClain.


The family wishes to thank the staff at the Manor of Perrysburg for their warm and loving care. We appreciate their compassion and support more deeply than words can ever express.

Funeral Services will he held at 11:00 a.m. Sat. Oct. 29, 2005 in the Bringman Clark Fu-neral Home with Rev. Wayne Geissinger officiating. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. to time of services on Sat. at the funeral home.
