Obituaries85, died July 12, 2005, in Duluth, Minn. She was a resident of Green Valley for 22 years, having moved to Arizona from Danbury, Conn. Nancy was born in Fairfield, Conn., the daughter of Clarence and Eva Naramore. She was a graduate of Newtown High School and the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing. For many years, she worked as a registered nurse. She was an accomplished pianist and used her talent to entertain family and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard S. Rice in 1999, her sister Mary Connolly of Florida and brother Clarence B. Naramore, Jr. of Connecticut. She is survived by her children Susan (Alan) Hartley of Duluth, Richard of San Jose, Calif., and William (Barbara) of Kingsford, Mich.; grandchildren Andrew and Kate Hartley, Laura and Kristin Rice, as well as by several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 424 W. Superior St., Duluth, MN 55802.
