TALGV needs homes for Suzy and Socrates

Published: Friday, April 8, 2005 7:37 AM MST

Suzy is a 1-year-old spayed female chow mix with a very sweet disposition and friendly twinkle in her eyes.

She went through some hard times, but quickly learned to trust people again. She loves to be hugged and to go for walks.

A wonderful family adopted her in December and was heartbroken when they had to return her to the Animal League of Green Valley because she was jealous of the children in the neighborhood. She would do better in a home without children and other pets.

However, she's all you will ever need because she's a happy, affectionate, tail wagger and will be a completely devoted companion,

Socrates is 1 year-old-plus, black and white, medium-length fur, male Maine Coon mix. Like at TALGV boys, he's neutered and is also declawed. Like his namesake, he is very wise, also very playful, bold and outgoing.

He enjoys playing with squish balls and fuzzy toys. His previous owners realized that he needed closer supervision for a while or maybe more time with his special person, so he doesn't get bored and chew things that aren't his.

To adopt Suzy or Socrates, call the Animal League of Green Valley at 625-3170.
