News > Top StoriesThe Green Valley Ladies No. 1 USTA tennis team finished the winter season, turning in a 5-4 record in its three-month campaign. They're members of the Southern Arizona Senior League that includes nine other teams, mostly from Tucson, such as Saddlebrook, Ventana Canyon, Randolph Park, El Conquistador, Tucson Racquet Club, and Skyline, which features clay courts. Colleen Keilbart and Shirley Goebel led the way in the final victory over Skyline March 22, finally prevailing in a grueling, three-hour marathon, winning the first set tiebreaker, 9-7, dropping the second set 6-4, then clawing their way back in a 7-5 triumph. Nancy Crosby and Louise Lakatos pulled out the other match against Skyline in the two out of three set format. Saddlebrook No. 3 won the title.
