DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center at Reid Park at 22nd Street and Country Club Road is the new home for this day-long fiesta of music, food and fun. Come see how the celebration has a fresh face and more space. The fiesta is a recreation of the sights and sounds of Garibaldi Plaza in Mexico City, a place known for spontaneous mariachi performances and gatherings. This day-long party features fabulous music, delicious Mexican food, and numerous arts and crafts vendors to tempt your every whim. Bring your family and spend the day under a shady tree listening to great music and being part of this great community of mariachi aficionados. Cost is $5 for adults, and kids under 18 are free. All proceeds will help build a better playground for the children of the Children's Services at La Frontera Center. This event takes place Saturday, April 23, and will feature students from the conference workshops and professional performers including Los Camperos de Nati Cano, Mariachi Divas and Flores del Desierto. This is the culmination of a week-long series of performances.
