News > Top StoriesRegistered professional home inspector Robert E. King moved here four years ago, and has been doing home inspections in Tucson for five years. Though he still does some Tucson work, he now inspects homes in Green Valley, Sahuarita, Rio Rico and Nogales. This "one-man band" of residential home inspections has lived in Arizona for over 40 years and is well-versed in Southwestern construction techniques. King has experience in new construction and remodels, plumbing, concrete, framing, electrical, roofing, pools... almost every phase of construction. It is important for a neutral party with no vested interest to give an unbiased report on any real estate up for purchase and analyze what people are getting themselves into. Home inspectors work as an intermediary between the buyers and the sellers. King goes into a home, takes digital photographs and produces a computer generated narrative report that addresses issues of concern, such as leaks or damage. He then takes the report to the Realtor and the seller has ten days to fix agreed-upon problems before the sale. "The state of Arizona subscribes to the same standards and practices as ASHI and the National Organization of Home Inspectors," King says. "I belong to ASHI and try to perform all of my inspections above and beyond these high standards. King is certified by the state of Arizona to generate home inspection reports. If you are buying or selling a home and need an inspector, call Robert King at Sun-King Home Inspections, 603-3330 or e-mail sunkinghome@aol.com.
