Big band tsunami relief concert

GREEN VALLEY--The Big Band Sounds of Green Valley, under the direction of Allan Riding, will present a benefit concert Friday, April 8, at 7 p.m. at Valley Presbyterian Church, 2800 Camino del Sol. Tickets are $8 and available in the church office or at the door before the performance.

This is a benefit concert for the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Program with every dollar going to tsunami relief. The band members are donating their time and talents to this needy cause.

Big Band Sounds of Green Valley features a library that has grown to more than 300 orchestrations, including arrangements played by such greats as Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Woody Herman, Glen Miller, Stan Kenton, Duke Ellington and Count Basie.
