Comment > CommentariesAs reported by Philip Franchine (Green Valley News, Feb. 9, 2005, "GVCCC Bike plan wins plaudits") the public review of the GVCCC "Master Plan for Multi-Use Lanes & Trails" was very successful. 120 local citizens attended the public review held Feb. 3, 2005. We were very pleased with the large turn-out in support of this planning intended to maintain the capability to walk, bike, run, and drive golf carts throughout our community in a safe and enjoyable manner. Many constructive comments and suggestions were made, and they will be included in our final Master Plan Report. Officials from Pima County, Sahuarita, Pima Association of Governments, and the Tucson-Pima County Bicycle Advisory Committee participated in this review and enthusiastically supported our draft Master Plan. The many people that have supported our requests for new multi-use lanes over the past year, and that have made this Master Plan possible should be recognized: Committee members But still, most important is the continued support of the citizens and businesses of the Green Valley/Sahuarita community to insist on proper future plans and action to maintain the quality of life we want.
