Thursday, Sept. 9: Sheriff's deputies found a truck that had been reported stolen in Tucson. The Ford F350 appeared to have been used for smuggling, and was found stuck near the 6000 block of W. Duval Mine Road, with two flat tires and a broken axle.
Friday, Sept. 10: Deputies found a damaged golf cart abandoned near the 600 block of N. La Canada Drive. The owner told deputies it had been stolen while parked at his neighbor's house.
Saturday, Sept. 11: A man walked out of the Safeway store, at 260 W. Continental Road, with a cart full of groceries he had not paid for. He was cited and released.
Sunday, Sept. 12: A resident of the 300 block of N. Calle Del Chancero reported that his golf cart had been stolen. He said that the last time he'd seen the vehicle it was parked on his porch, about 7 p.m. the previous evening. The cart was described as a white 1993 Yamaha with an Arizona license plate.
Sunday, Sept. 12: A resident of the 300 block of W. Camino Del Sonador reported that two golf carts had been stolen sometime overnight. A 1994 PRCAR golf cart with an Arizona license place and a cream-colored 1986 Yamaha golf cart with Arizona plates were stolen. The keys to both carts were in them at the time of the thefts, the victim told police, and the Yamaha had been parked at home where he was doing work on the same block.
Arivaca
Saturday, Sept. 11: Authorities discovered a vehicle that had rolled on its side and caught fire along Arivaca Ranch Road. There was nobody in or near the vehicle when it was discovered.
