Preventive health screenings will be offered Dec. 12

Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior will host a health screening provided by Cathedral Health Services (CHS) on Friday, Dec. 12, at the church's parish hall, 555 S. La Canada Drive.

For a fee, CHS offers mobile, affordable preventive health screenings for certain life-threatening conditions such as heart disease, stroke, aneur-ysm, diabetes and other circulatory and lung diseases.

In addition to the screening services, CHS also provides education to help individuals prevent illness and to encourage changes in behavior to improve the state of wellness.

Seven (tests are offered: Heart screening, stroke screening, abdominal aortic aneurysm, pulmonary function test, ankle brachial index test, diabetes and cholesterol testing, blood pressure and pulse testing.

Individual screening tests are offered for as little as $30; the entire set of screening tests including consultation with immediate written results is offered for a total of $150.
